It’s been close to six years since I came here. The United States is my home now but if I have to think of where my heart is, the answer is Manila, Philippines. After all, I spent 26 years of my life there and my near and dear ones are still living there. I speak to my folks almost everyday and try to be a part of their lives in whatever way possible. Until, recently this was a little difficult though, because remitting money wasn’t very convenient. I had to wait for my US bank account verification for transferring money which took up some time. This instant facility requires the remitters to provide the bank account details and book a transaction. The minute the account gets verified, money is transferred automatically saving both time and effort. I think this is what remitters look for- a simple way of remitting money sans, the unnecessary documentation hassles. Not just that the Online ACH facility is a totally web based service which allows us to send up to $ 500 or equivalent in our own currency. Now this is what I call quick and easy!
